I hope everyone of you out there have a safe and Merry Christmas. I hope you get to spend the holiday with family and friends that you love. But always remember that there are people much less fortunate than you are this Christmas. For many this holiday will be a first holiday with someone missing at the table. Others who suffer from depression or anxiety will also have a hard time this time of year.
Christmas is about giving, so be a giver. Take time out of your day to share a moment with someone who needs it. The greatest gift you have to give is your time. It is the one thing you can never get back and that makes it the most precious thing in the world. So go out and share it with someone. Hold someone’s hand. Lend an ear. Share a meal and talk to someone. What ever it takes to bring someone some peace that they might not otherwise have.
This world we live in can be hard on all of us. The only thing we really have to make it better is each other. But we have to find each other first. So never let a chance go by you if you can help it. Take the time to find those in need and do what you can.
Personally, I have a lot of family to share the holidays with, and even though there are some missing from my table, there are also many new ones. Every year brings new family and friends into my life that find their way into my heart. I wish the same for you!
